Cosmetology Instructor
Course Description
The Instructor’s program teaches essential skills and provides comprehensive practice of hands-on
theory while working with live models and clients. Our Instructor’s program will train you in the
principles of teaching, both practical and theory skills. You will study and help learn how to prepare
the students with the needed skills and abilities for an exciting career. The goals as in instructor
are to learn and be aware of many teaching styles, complete the instructors textbook and workbook,
know the proper techniques and procedures as well as being able to demonstrate how and why things are
done the way they need to be done with the outcome of success. The objectives as an Instructor are to
learn all of the phases and the correct steps in the art of teaching and to see if the goals have been
achieved as well as finding the desire to have patience, professionalism along the way and throughout
the process of becoming an Instructor.
Instructor
Learn to master the art of practicing, showing and teaching students all of the information they need to
know about nails, hair, and skin from the smallest detail to the largest detail and the smallest steps to
the largest steps. Help students find the confidence, desire and the joy in this fast growing career.
Hours
*There are different Instructor’s programs with hours that vary accordingly

*Full-Time Cosmetology Student: 35-40 hours are required per week
*Part-Time Cosmetology Student: 20-40 hours are required per week
*School Hours
8:30 am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday
8:00 am – 4:00pm Saturday
(Every other Saturday is required)
Requirements
*All French Academy Students must pass with a minimum of 80% grade level in all
Subjects.
Dress Code
Black pants, skirt and/or Capri’s.
Black or white shirt
No sleeveless shirts.
Totally enclosed black shoes.
Apron and nametag (that are provided) must be worn at all times.
